Reporting to the VP of Global Partnerships & Business Development, you will lead the strategic and operational management of all current partnerships — whether developed in-house or for which we hold the rights — including in-licensing and out-licensing agreements. You will serve as the central point of contact, both internally and with our many global partners, and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to deliver on shared objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the long-term partnership strategy for products developed in-house or for which Duchesnay holds the rights, including identifying and negotiating new partnerships
  • Lead a cross-functional team focused on in-licensing to optimize collaboration, execution, and success with partners
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives
  • Manage the full lifecycle of partnership agreements — in-licensing and out-licensing — from negotiation through execution, renewal, and ongoing performance evaluation
  • Provide ongoing support to partners and coordinate internal teams (launch, supply, operations) to ensure mutual success
  • Ensure active participation of internal departments in negotiating new agreements and optimizing existing ones
  • Effectively manage situations involving the interests of Duchesnay and its partners, prioritizing long-term strategic vision
  • Mentor and collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to support delivery on shared objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Master's in Business Administration and PMP certification are significant assets
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in at least three of: business development, sales and marketing, alliance management, contract and partnership management
  • Proven track record in business development or strategic partnership management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority and consistently meet or exceed targets
  • Experience developing business cases and negotiating agreements
  • Experience in international markets (a significant asset)
  • Financial and accounting knowledge (terminology and concepts)
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required — due to interactions with national and international partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel; Power BI an asset
  • Available for international business travel (less than 20%)
